FLAVOUR LAB

ZYN FLAVOURS, RANKED

BY THE POUCHPLUG EDITORIAL TEAM · UPDATED 11 OCTOBER 2026

Zyn flavour rankings usually put individual cans in order of someone's taste. This one ranks the families instead, by how deep each one runs on our shelf: how many cans it holds and how much of Zyn's strength ladder it covers. It's a map of what we stock, not a sales chart, and it names a pick in every lane so you know where to start.

How we ranked them

Depth first: a family ranks higher when it holds more cans and spans more of the strength ladder, because that's what lets you stay in a flavour while you change strength. Zyn's ladder on our shelf runs from 3mg minis to 20mg, but not every flavour exists at every rung, which is worth knowing before you fall for a profile. The counts below are our Zyn shelf when this guide was last updated; the live board is always at the Zyn hub.

The family map

By headcount, our Zyn shelf breaks down like this:

  • Mint — 6 cans, 3mg to 15mg. The classics, from Spearmint to Deep Freeze.
  • Wildcards — 6 cans, mostly 3mg to 9mg. Bellini, Espressino, Gold and Northern Woods.
  • Citrus — 5 cans, 4mg to 20mg. Lemon, citrus and ginger blood orange.
  • Tropical — 1 can: a 15mg apple mint (our tropical shelf also lists the Bellini wildcard).
  • Sweet — 1 can: Violet Licorice at 8mg.

1. Mint: the deepest bench

Six cans covering most of the ladder. Start light with Cool Mint Mini Dry 4mg, settle into the everyday cold of Dark Frost 6mg, or go deep with Deep Freeze 12mg. Cool Mint runs from that 4mg mini through 12mg to 15mg, and Spearmint comes as a 3mg mini. Mint is also where we point first-timers, because a mint tells you most clearly what a pouch should taste like; the site-wide mint shelf carries every brand's take.

2. The wildcards: Zyn's lab wing

Six cans the supplier files under no flavour family; our flavour shelves place three of them by taste. Bellini Mini Dry 3mg, a peach cocktail on our tropical shelf, and Espressino Mini Dry 3mg, on the coffee shelf, are mild minis (Espressino also comes as a 9mg Strong), while Northern Woods 6mg sits in the middle. Gold Mini Dry, on the unflavoured shelf, comes at 4mg and as an Extra Strong labelled 15mg/g, which is per gram, not per pouch: our strength guide explains the difference.

3. Citrus: small family, long ladder

Five cans from 4mg to 20mg. Lemon Spritz 4mg is the bright daytime pick, Citrus Slim Strong 12mg takes the same lane to a stronger dose, and Ginger Blood Orange 20mg sits at the top for experienced users. The broader citrus shelf has every other brand's lemons and limes.

4. Tropical: one can

Apple Mint 15mg, a fruit-and-mint crossover, is a strong, tropical-leaning Zyn. For more fruit, the tropical and berry hubs hold the full spread from every brand.

5. Sweet: one can, one acquired taste

Violet Licorice 8mg is the whole family: violet and licorice, exactly as the name promises, and the kind of profile people either never try or end up defending loudly. It sits in the strong tier, so it's not a first can.

Where to start

Three sensible entry points: Bellini Mini Dry 3mg if you're new and starting in the mild tier, Lemon Spritz 4mg for a daytime citrus, and Dark Frost 6mg for a classic cold mint once 3mg feels routine. From there the method is simple: hold your strength, change one family at a time, and judge each can across more than one session. The full board sits on the Zyn hub, and this map gets refreshed as the shelf changes.
